Ever wondered what it’s like to work at EA? You could compare employee experiences via our weekly interview series, “Breaking Into The Industry.” Or you could ask Universum, who just wrapped up a study asking young workers where they’d most like to punch the clock.
When Business Insider refers to “young workers,” they aren’t talking about aspiring summer interns. Universum’s study draws its data from a survey of 6,700 college graduates with one to eight years of professional experience, each of whom was asked to choose five ideal employers from a list of around 200 businesses. All workers consulted for the study were under the age of 40.
In the tech field, EA ranked as the seventh most desirable company to work for, coming out just behind major players like Apple and Facebook. Even when ranked among the full list of 200 companies, EA remained a crowd favorite, taking 15th in the "places I want to work" list. Other video game companies that made the list included Sony (#9) and Zynga (#63).

Shep (and Femshep) are sure to thank you.

DeMartini: Origin Expands To Offer Games From 3rd Party Publishers
Yesterday we hit a major milestone as we announced that Origin will
soon feature third party content. We’re incredibly excited that Warner
Bros. Interactive Entertainment, THQ, and Capcom will be the first
publishers to offer their games via Origin. Beginning in November,
Origin will feature top new releases including Batman: Arkham City,
Saints Row: The Third, and more, ready for purchase and download. We’ll
continue to add more games from these partners in the coming months,
giving you even more choice for the latest and greatest gaming content.
As we welcome our new partners, we continue to make Origin better by adding new features such as our beta cloud storage, which allows you to save games and gameplay achievements online and then access them from any PC. We’ve also added live streaming demos, so you can try out hit titles like Crysis 2, Dragon Age 2, and The Sims Medieval. Finally, you can now play incredibly popular and highly addictive browser games like Plants vs. Zombies and The Sims Social. All of this is built on a foundation of fast and safe game downloads, with social connectivity to your gaming friends.
Batman: Arkham City and Saints Row: The Third will be available on Origin for pre-order starting in early November, and this is just the beginning. As I’ve said before, we believe in choice, and adding great content from our partners means more choices for you on Origin.
